Hunky Hero - The House on Burra Burra Lane

The House on Burra Burra Lane
by Jennie Jones

Dr Ethan Granger is a little reserved so I’m going to talk about him behind his back. Swallow’s Fall in The House on Burra Burra Lane is his home town and he’s the vet. He’s thirty-four years old. He’s 6’ 5” (for those using metric only - that’s tall). He has sandy, wind-swept hair (he puts a comb through it every morning but he’s outdoors every day, so he just looks - you know – manly and adventuresome all the time).
He doesn’t need much for his own comforts (or so he thinks). His days are filled with his veterinarian practice, six rescue horses in his field, a near-new utility truck which he’s very fond of and a few carpentry jobs he’d like to focus on. Yes, he’s a builder and carpenter in his spare time so you can imagine the strength he has in his shoulders (and at that height he’d look a little odd without broad shoulders, wouldn’t you agree?).

Does he consider himself heroic? He said, “No. Not at all.” But there was a masculine blush on his tanned face as he answered because Swallow’s Fall newcomer, city-girl Sammy Walker was standing at his side, so I’m thinking he’s amenable to one woman thinking him heroic.

However, there were problems in his past, and the possible consequences of those and the attraction he feels to the city-girl have put him in the unsure position of not knowing what’s going to happen next. Or how he’ll cope.
Want to know more?
A dilapidated house, a city girl looking for a tree change, and a rugged vet with a past. Just another day in rural Australia…

Just ten days after her fresh start in the isolated Snowy Mountains, Samantha Walker
trips over a three hundred pound pig and lands in the arms of Dr. Ethan Granger
— and the firing line for gossip. It was hardly a ‘date’ but sparks of the sensual kind are difficult to smother in a community of only 87 people. Now there’s a bet running on how long she’ll stay and what she’ll get up to while she’s in town.

Ethan has his own issues — Sammy’s presence in his childhood home brings with it painful recollections of family scandals and a bad‐boy youth. When the gossip around them heightens, his life is suddenly a deck of cards spread on the table for all to see. Then Sammy's past catches up with her... and it looks like all bets are off.

But wait there's more:

Ethan is definitely hero material! His rescues, his caring nature and his all round humble hunkiness did it for me. I must add, I always did love a 'good' bad boy and Ethan really fills the role. This is a fab, fun read, Jennie.

Gotta love a man who is good with his hands!
6-5!!! I missd that bit in the book, Jennie. I dated a guy who was 6-4 once. That was tall. 6-5 is serious indeed!

Cheers
